I wanted to write a story that was set in this modern day, with the limited technology and understanding we have and throw an interesting "what if..." into the mix. That's how The First Ones There was created. If something we discovered suddenly grabbed our attention in space, who would get there first?
Who would help or hinder us? What will they find? Imagine if it's a weapon... would you want another country to have it? Would that weapon or technology advance that country into a global super-power that's unstoppable?
As with all my books, there's plenty of Easter eggs, character cross-overs (from other books) and lots of homage to people, shows, and things I like. This is my first sci-fi thriller and if you like it, let me know in the reviews and maybe I'll make more like this.
