Whata great way to introduce a new character in the Kindred Brides series. Icouldn't put this book down. I had to read it until I had finished it. Thisseries keeps getting better and better. In this installment we are introducedto Lauren who happens to be Liv and Sophie's long lost cousin. They thoughtthat she had died with her mother in childbirth. Liv and Sophie find out thatneither Lauren nor her mother had died, but something worse is on the horizon.

Lauren is taken by the Scourge before she can even meet,or get to know her cousins. The Allfather has finally found the woman of theprophesy and her name is Lauren. He kidnaps her right before she gets ready toopen her shop. Lauren wakes up in a small damp cell with no one for company andno idea how she got there. Xairn comes in and explains what happened and whereshe is.

Duringher captivity on the Scourge mother ship, Lauren and Xairn form a bond. Thequestion is will it lead to the downfall of them both? Xairn thinks that hecannot feel and becomes surprise at what Lauren is waking up inside him. Hefeels things he can't explain because he has never known what real love is. CanLauren show him how to love and can Xairn claim Lauren's love without the fearof becoming just like the Allfather. I'll let you decide when you read this newaddition to the Kindred Brides.
