Wow.The author pulled out all the emotional stops on this one. To be warned, thereis mention of child abuse so if that bothers you, avoid this book. This was aspectacular addition to the Kindred series and with the engrossing story linecentered on Merrick and Elise we also got further drawn in to Lissa and Saberas well as the horrid but strangely attractive Draven, new nemesisextraordinaire.

Thisstory fed my ravening hunger for more information about previous couples aswell as dangling story line carrots all over the place for me to reach for inthe future. A story not to be missed, especially for the vengeance that Merrick sought and dished out for Elise; that particularpart of the story made my day.
